Peninsula Summer Music Festival
Peninsula Summer Music Festival
The 2009 Peninsula Summer Music Festival was an outstanding success, with 10 of 11 concerts sold out and 1,500 people enjoying world-class food, wine and music during the seven day festival.
The Festival brings together talented musicians from Australia and overseas to immerse themselves in a week of music, art, friendship, laughter, and share the joy of these experiences with audiences through a diverse range of concerts in unique locations across the Peninsula.
The response from audiences to the 2009 Festival has been overwhelmingly positive:
“The performances were a joy with their sense of freshness and informality .... The ambience was relaxed and happy and, in fact, everything I think a festival should be.”
“I am writing to thank you for Saturday night's amazing, memorable, exciting New Year Celebration concert. I cannot remember when I have enjoyed a concert more.”
“Just a note of congratulations to all involved in the Festival - it was truly a great joy to be there.... The musicians played so well and with such joyful passion .... Even the weather was just right!”
The Peninsula Summer Music Festival would like to acknowledge everyone who contributed to the success of the second Festival: the Board, Virtuoso and Maestro Donors, Patrons, Friends, Sponsors, Funding Partners and Supporters, musicians, publicity magicians, organisers, drivers, flyer distributors, writers, flag makers, strawberry fetchers, wine fetchers, wine pourers, box office managers, photographers, men in trucks, sandwich makers, ticket fetchers, stage managers, candle lighters, roadies/latte fetchers and, most of all, our audiences.
We look forward to sharing our 2010 Festival with you.
