Nature Stories showcases the soundscapes of our natural environment with works written especially for Ensemble Offspring. Kate Moore’s Rose of Roses, Flower of Flowers tells of a nightingale, pierced by a rose thorn, singing itself to death, while Ella Macens’ poignant vibraphone solo Falling Embers reflects on the devastation of the 2019 bushfires.
